Community Engagement

Community is at our core

  • Oak Park Chamber of Commerce

With our home office in Oak Park, the entire Anchor Court Management (ACM) family is heavily involved in the community. Anchor Court Management is a proud diamond member of the Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce. ACM Founder and Principal Sidney W. Canchester serves as the Chair of the Bite Nite Committee and co-chair of the FLEX Affinity Group. ACM aims to find as many ways possible to engage with and support local businesses as well as having the honor of sponsoring multiple events with the chamber.

  • Chicago Yacht Club Foundation

Anchor Court Management is a proud supporter of the Chicago Yacht Club Foundation, which exists to bring the joys and benefits of boating to all, with a primary focus on youth from underrepresented communities. Through nautical education programs, grants, scholarships and partnerships, the Chicago Yacht Club Foundation produces a robust set of on and off the water programs that serve this mission, and provides resources for those in the Chicagoland and elsewhere who wish to continue beyond what the foundation offers.

  • My Block My Hood My City

Anchor Court Management is a proud supporter of My Block My Hood My City, which is a local organization focused to inspire youth, empower communities, and build a better world one block at a time. My Block My Hood My City believes in providing opportunities for individuals to step outside their comfort zones, explore new communities, cultures, and cuisines, and gain a deeper understanding of the world. By encouraging immersive experiences, lifelong learning, and meaningful connections, My Block My Hood My City fosters a sense of responsibility for our communities, emphasizing that true progress comes through service, empathy, and collaboration.

  • Illuminating Impact

Sidney W. Canchester, founder and principal of Anchor Court Management, was selected to provide guidance for a community outreach initiative aimed at bringing a local business to Auburn Gresham, an underrepresented neighborhood in Chicago. Soon to be business owner, Titiana Williams, received a building through a city land grant, requiring extensive renovations to transform it into a flower shop and coworking space. Drawing on his expertise, Sid is assisting in the renovation process, helping turn her vision into reality.
